Sunny 2 opens with the images of "Rain mother" Thu Trang sitting alone with her knees in a deserted landscape, holding a picture of "Sunny baby" Kim Thu. Alternating between the sobbing sobbing because of remembering Rain 's child is the sobbing of Sunny when wandering the streets, trying to ask every person he meets about the whereabouts of Rain' s mother. Family affection, the strong bond between mother and daughter are once again pulled out of each other in the second part of this family-oriented film.
